So Long for Now Luna

I know I’m a little late to post this but I wrapped up my job as Storyboard Director on Let’s Go Luna back in early October. I drew this little social media post announcing it but somehow forgot to put it here… I will forever cherish my memories on this special show ♡

When I turned in my last board in October, I decided I wanted to take some time off… I wasn’t going to do any drawing or work for a month. During that month off, I realized my body and soul needed a rest and I didn’t want to rush back onto another project until I was ready.

A few people have asked “What’s next?“

I try to do my best to explain that artists jump from project to project in animation. Once your part of the pipeline is completed, you move on. Some studios may retain you and move you onto other projects, and some may keep you in mind for future opportunities. Some artists will work from show to show never taking a break… others go on hiatus and rest or do personal work… some maybe can’t find work and take up freelancing in the mean time. Everyone’s journey looks different.

I know for me, this is my time to take a break and work on some projects I’ve been developing. I really want to be present in the moment and with my art, take care of myself and trust that God will open the right doors at the right time. I’m excited to see what this next year will bring!
