Storyboarding + WFH Life Update
Hey world, I figured it was time to update since I haven’t posted since the beginning of the year (I really need to get better about my posting)… but here’s a quick recap so far:
Beginning of the year was slow - worked on a few small projects for different clients
Started working as a freelance storyboard artist for Primal Screen back in March
So far PBS Kids has aired 6 of my Let’s Go Luna episodes from season 2
I just wrapped up boarding on the unreleased show at Primal and about to start on some commercial work
My husband and I just moved into a new 1-bedroom apartment so I can have a better work-from-home set up
I never would have thought I’d be working from home as much as I have since COVID (and I definitely wasn’t set up for it). My husband and I had a 600 sq/ft studio apartment at the beginning of COVID and for months I was working like 5 steps from where I slept. I’m extremely grateful that I could keep my job and work remotely but it was challenging for me to jump into that creative headspace when I was basically existing in one room. It felt like it was enough space for us when I was leaving to work in a studio everyday but after a few months ofWFH we had to get out of there.
We ended up staying with family for about a year and just moved into a 1-bedroom where I have a door in between my bed and my “office“ in the living room. It’s always exciting to have new beginnings :)
